2/1 Star Party! Westport Observatory is an all volunteer-run, non-profit organization that’s free and open to the public every clear sky Wednesday from 8-10 pm 2/2 Don't Delay... Orders due today for this sweet Kiwanis & Lachat Fundraiser, featuring See's Candies. Make someone happy!

2/3 Rock 'n Roll One of Rolling Stones' "100 Greatest Guitarist of All Time" Richard Thompson comes to Sacred Heart University Community Theatre. 2/4 #24 Across Westport Library presents its 24th Annual Crossword Puzzle Contest with Will Short of the NY Times. Can you make it to the final round?

2/5 Pro Bowl Option Head to the Music Theatre of Connecticut for a matinee performance of I Hate Hamlet. This witty tribute to the Bard, written by Paul Rudnick runs weekends through Feb 19th. 2/6 Wine Monday? So, you made it through "dry January" — congrats! Celebrate Italian-style with 1/2 priced bottles of wine at one of our favorite spots, Pizzeria Molto in Fairfield.

2/7 Digital Stories In one short hour, create a video story with Animoto, a Google Slides photo story and a VoiceThread podcast. Tech for adults at the Fairfield Library (6:30pm) uses free web-based programs for Mac & PCs. 2/8 Swim Team And you don't have to be in high school! Did you know Staples pool is open to the public? Monday, Wednesday & Fridays from 7:30 - 9:30pm. Some weekend time too. Now through May 19th.

2/9 Perfect Machine Longtime ESPN reporter & E60 host Jeremy Schaap visits the Westport Library to screen his new film,The Perfect Machine. Take a look back at the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl VII, completing the first and only undefeated season in NFL history. 2/10 Open Skate Why not take an after lunch, pre-dinner or date-night skate? The Westport PAL Rink at Longshore has an online calendar of open skate times & a live Rink Cam to show you the competition.

2/11 Fresh Start Start your day at Lachat Town Farms with Tai Chi every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 10am to 11am. Rain or Shine! There is a suggested donation of $5.00 per person that will go towards fund raising for the Farm. 2/12 Shadow Pup Join Lucy, her Dad & a flashlight as they discover Woof Woof the Shadow Pup. Westport Country Playhouse will take your little ones on an action-packed adventure full of enchanted castles, rocket ships & zany animals.

2/13 A Happy Place Drop into the Westport Library a fun program of music, movement, and a story. Rhythm & Rhyme is for children birth to 5 years old. Mondays at 10 am, through February 27th. 2/14 From the Heart Restaurants abound, making this a tough one. Why not take stroll through Terrain, select the perfect gift & dine at Café? Special menu additions include a From the Heart cocktail, steamed mussels & Pavlova for dessert. Hard to go wrong here!

2/15 Lunch Play Professional theater, insightful discussion with actors, gourmet boxed lunch - all within the lunch hour (and a half!). Southport's Pequot Library is the site for the monthly Wednesday show; MoCA Westport on Tuesday; Greenwich Arts Council on Thursday 2/16 Winter Fresh Westport Farmers' Market continues at Gilbertie's Herb Gardens in heated greenhouses! Choose high-quality, locally grown or raised fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, milk, prepared foods and handmade goods. Thursdays, 10 -2, to March 9th.

2/17 Things that GO Inspired by the world of Busytown created by Richard Scarry, families will tap into their imagination to design cars, trucks, or other ways to move people and things around. Join this program at the Fairfield Museum. 2/18 Music at MoCA Instantly enthralling, Talisk fuses concertina, guitar and fiddle to produce a ground-breaking, unmistakable, bold sound and captivating live show. See the most sought-after folk band from Scotland tonight (7:00pm) at MoMA Westport.

2/19 College Hoops Better than watching on TV and conveniently played in Fairfield. Watch the Fairfield Stags Men's team take on Manhattan College (2 pm) at Fairfield University's Mahoney Arena. 2/20 Vacation Days Fill your youngster's week off with discovery (ages 3-12) at Westport's Earthplace. Each day is different but there is time for self-chosen activities, always an animal encounter, with a majority of the day spent outdoors.

2/21 Wild Winter Learn how Connecticut wildlife finds creative ways to survive during school vacation week. Plus, utilize Lachat Town Farm’s firepit as an example of how humans have learned to adapt to the cold! Available for one day or the whole week. 2/22 Wed Walks Lake Mohegan Loop is an easy route, taking an average of 43 min to complete. Popular for birding, hiking, and snowshoeing, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime!

2/23 Moon Dance Opening reception for the Fairfield Library's show, "Moon Dance," from 5:30-7:30pm. The art featured includes photos by Steven Labkoff and paintings by Ronnie Gold and Marjorie Sopkin. The artists will be speaking at the reception, where light refreshments will be served. 2/24 Pickleball Whether you’re an avid player or have never played before, head to the Westport Weston Family YMCA to enjoy a competitive game in a fun and social atmosphere. Guest/day passes available. Drop-in play M, W, F 9:15 - 11:00

2/25 Gods on Earth Discover Egypt’s Golden Couple as Egyptologists John and Colleen Darnell discuss their new book, When Akhenaten and Nefertiti Were Gods on Earth. At Weston History & Culture Center in partnership with Weston Library. 2/26 Classy Days The Brentano quartet returns to Wilton Congregational Church with a program titled “Dvořák and the American Identity,” Called “intoxicating” and their performance “revelatory,” this promises to be a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

2/27 Check Mate In this beginner program, children will learn how the pieces move and practice basic chess strategies by playing mini variant games and full games of chess. For children in grades 2-5 at the Pequot Library in Southport. 2/28 Speak & Learn Westport Library's conversation groups are great for improving your language skills. The groups are open to all levels and are self-directed. Spanish is on Tuesday (2-3pm); Italian on Wednesday; Fridays for Japanese & French
